Appropriate pet-sitting insurance is a requirement for Guardians undertaking mutual exchange stays through The Guardians Tribe.
As a paid Guardian or Dual Member, you can access information about our trusted UK pet-sitting insurance partner, Brooks Braithwaite, alongside guidance to help you understand the insurance standards required within our community.
Any policy arranged through Brooks Braithwaite is taken out directly with the insurer in your own name. Your policy belongs to you rather than The Guardians Tribe and, depending on its individual terms, may provide cover for qualifying pet-sitting activities both on and off our platform.
Brooks Braithwaite provides specialist pet-sitting insurance for eligible UK-based customers and may also provide cover for temporary pet-sitting activities in parts of Europe, subject to individual policy terms and circumstances.
Because every Guardian’s situation is different, you should speak directly with the insurer about where you live, where you intend to undertake Guardianship stays and the type of mutual exchange care you provide before relying on a policy.
Where a Guardian’s insurance has been verified by The Guardians Tribe, we display the geographical area that their confirmed cover applies to, helping Homeowners make more informed decisions when considering a match.
