Built from real experience, not just an idea

The Guardians Tribe was created by us, Nathan and Samantha, a family who have experienced firsthand just how rewarding pet and house sitting can be. Together with our son, Dylan, we’ve embraced a lifestyle built around travel, freedom, learning and new experiences. Along the way, we’ve had the privilege of caring for wonderful animals, meeting lovely homeowners and discovering places we might never otherwise have visited.

We’ve also experienced the responsibilities that come with being entrusted with someone’s home and pets. Because while pet and house sitting can offer incredible travel opportunities, it also involves commitment, communication, reliability and genuine care. That’s something we believe applies whether you’re sitting for a weekend, enjoying a two-week holiday or travelling full-time. It’s not about how often you do it, but how you do it.

We wanted to create a community that recognised both sides of the arrangement, where homeowners and Guardians felt valued, supported and respected. A place where people could connect without unnecessary barriers, and where responsible care always came first. That’s how The Guardians Tribe began.
