Why We Believe Your Feedback Should Travel With You, The Guardians Tribe feedback sharing policy

Why We Believe Your Feedback Should Travel With You

Trust is not built by platforms. Trust is built by people, through real experiences, genuine care, and the way members show up for one another.

Every time a Homeowner welcomes a Guardian into their home, and every time a Guardian cares for someone’s beloved animals, something meaningful is created. It is not about points, scores, or star ratings. It is about reputation, built through trust, responsibility, and lived experience.

At The Guardians Tribe, we have always believed that genuine feedback tells a much deeper story than any rating system ever could. Written feedback allows members to share what actually happened, how they felt, and what made the experience meaningful. That is why we have chosen not to use star ratings. We believe people deserve more than being reduced to a number.

Your Reputation Belongs to You

Many online platforms operate as closed ecosystems, where feedback stays locked inside the platform. Even when someone has earned that feedback through years of care, reliability, and meaningful connection, it often cannot travel with them.

We see things differently. If a Guardian has cared beautifully for homes and animals, or a Homeowner has created a kind, respectful, and welcoming experience, that reputation has been earned by them. It should not feel trapped inside one website.

We believe your feedback should travel with you, because your reputation was created through your actions, not by a platform. It reflects real relationships, real trust, and real experiences.

Giving Members a Choice

In line with our beliefs, we have introduced a new Feedback Sharing Preference for members of The Guardians Tribe. This gives each member the choice to decide whether feedback they provide about another member can be shared outside of the platform.

Some members may be happy for their feedback to be used by the person it was written about, for example on another profile, website, social media page, portfolio, or other platform. Others may prefer their feedback to remain only within The Guardians Tribe. Both choices are respected.

This is important to us because feedback belongs first to the person who wrote it. We believe permission should be clear, transparent, and chosen freely. Members are not forced to allow external sharing. They simply make a clear choice about how their words may be used.

Shared Exactly As Written

Where a member gives permission for their feedback to be shared outside of The Guardians Tribe, that feedback must be shared exactly as written. It cannot be changed, edited, rewritten, shortened, added to, taken out of context, or presented in a misleading way.

This protects both sides. The person who wrote the feedback knows their words cannot be altered, and the person receiving the feedback knows they have clear permission to share it in its original form.

For us, this is about honesty and integrity. Feedback should remain authentic. The words someone writes should stay as they were written.

Protecting Member Data

Alongside this update, we have also strengthened our Terms & Conditions around member data, platform content, and anti-scraping protections.

The Guardians Tribe does not permit the scraping, harvesting, importing, copying, bulk downloading, automated collection, or unauthorised use of member data, listings, profiles, feedback, photographs, messages, or other platform content.

There is a clear difference between a member choosing to let their feedback travel with the person it was written about, and someone using scraping tools, import tools, bots, browser extensions, AI systems, or automated software to collect or copy information from the platform.

One is consent-based. The other is not.

We want members to be able to carry their reputation with them when permission has been given, while also protecting the wider community from unauthorised data collection or misuse.

A Different Way of Building Trust

The Guardians Tribe was created to be different. We are not building a platform based on popularity contests, public scoring, or gamified trust. We are building a global home and pet care community rooted in responsibility, respect, transparency, and real human connection.

This update is part of that. It gives members choice. It protects the words people write. It allows feedback to support reputation beyond the platform where permission has been given. And it makes clear that member data and platform content cannot be taken, scraped, imported, or used without consent.

We believe trust should be earned. We believe feedback should be honest. We believe members should have a say in how their words are used.

And we believe your reputation should travel with you.
